The Well Recruiting Solutions

“Bethel BSSM graduate. Covers every client in daily prayer.”

Chief Prayer Officer

Randy Koch is The Well’s Chief Prayer Officer, a role that exists nowhere else in the recruiting industry. He joined The Well in August 2024. In his own words, his job consists of praying for the company, its employees, and its clients.

That is not a figure of speech. The Well was founded in faith, and prayer is part of how the firm operates. The company funds tuition, room, and board for Bible college students overseas who pray for The Well and its clients daily. Randy leads this prayer effort. He also leads the US team's weekly prayer meeting, established in September 2025, and team meetings open or close with optional prayer.

Randy brings more than 13 years of experience in prayer ministry, serving churches and ministries throughout the Minneapolis area. He spent nearly a decade serving at River Valley Church and has also served with other groups, including Providence Academy and Jesus Place, a ministry that gathers in homes and coffee shops throughout the Twin Cities and conducts summer street outreach in downtown Minneapolis. He is a graduate of Bethel Church's School of Supernatural Ministry in Redding, California, and currently leads prayer at a multisite church in the Minneapolis metro.

Randy also leads The Well's monthly virtual prayer meeting with its overseas Bible college students and Mission India partners. He spends one to two hours in prayer before each meeting and continues praying throughout the month. Meetings include updates on The Well's work and challenges, along with students sharing about their lives, spiritual insights, and personal celebrations and challenges. Randy opens and closes each gathering in prayer. These meetings often extend beyond their scheduled hour as participants share and pray together.

At The Well, Randy prays for the firms that trust the company with their searches, the candidates considering career moves, and the team members doing the work. A search is a significant moment on both sides. A firm is investing in its future through a key hire, while a candidate is deciding where to spend the next chapter of a career. Randy covers both in prayer, along with the recruiters working to bring the right people together.

The Well considers prayer a meaningful part of its mission and a strategic advantage. For Randy, the work is simple and daily. He shows up and prays for the people in front of him. The rest of the team serves people well in its own way, working toward the right fit for every search.

Away from The Well, Randy enjoys biking and watching his two sons play college sports. He treasures time with his daughter, son-in-law, and grandson, and he and his wife are enjoying life as empty nesters.
