Steve Perry spent 17 years inside wealth management leadership. Not as a consultant. Not as an observer. As someone accountable for the team, the culture, the hires, and the outcomes. He started as an advisor, built a new team from scratch to 40, then led a 125-person firm as Managing Partner.
In that time he lived every side of the talent equation. The urgency of a vacant seat. The cost of a wrong hire. The pressure that lands on a leadership team when growth depends on finding the right people. He did not theorize about it. He felt it.
In 2023 he stepped away from a seven-figure career to build something the industry did not have. A firm run by someone who had actually built the teams. Today The Well operates on the insight, the instincts, and the standard he spent 17 years developing.
